Application for Large Scale Job

RCCS can accept large-scale computations exceeding the group’s core limit as well as intensive computations over short periods by submitting a request. Please submit an application form that clearly describes the details of the specific job. After the review, you may be granted access to up to 6,400 cores for a period of up to approximately one week.

Notices

• Please describe the background, details, and scale (# of cores and duration) of the job in detail.
• Due to operational constraints, large-scale jobs can only be started immediately after the scheduled maintenance.
• Please submit your application at least one week before the scheduled maintenance.
• Large scale jobs will run on Type C nodes.
• You can't run jobs that exceed the CPU points of your group.
• Up to 6,400 cores, up to 1 week jobs can be allowed.

For example, if you try to run 6,400 core (50 nodes) job for 7 days, you may need
50 nodes × 2 vnodes/node x 45 points/(vnode*hour) × (24 x 7) hours = 756,000 points.
